The persistent
development of intellectual property is one of the foundations of our
society. This is recognised by the European Union,
which endeavours to support scientific research
and technological development through a
multiplicity of funding
instruments. Recently, the Framework programme 7 (FP 7),
covering the period from 2007 to 2013, has been published and is now
under the co-decision procedure for approval and
adoption by the European Parliament and Council.
The research is organised in nine sub-programmes:

* Food, agriculture and biotechnology
* Information and communication technologies
* Nanosciences, nanotechnologies, materials and new
production technologies
* Energy
* Environment (including climate change)
* Transport (including aeronautics)
* Socio-economic sciences and the humanities
* Security and Space

Target:researches with less
than 4 years of research experience
Aim: to enhance the job prospects of
researches who taking up a long-term research careers, structured
scientific and/or technological training as well as providing
complementary skills, (training may include practical skills like
research management and languages) are provided through universities,
research organisations, industrial firms
Aim:
researchers obtain individual tailored training through a host
institution, the career profile of the researcher is polished up with
complimentary scientific competencies in order to gain in professional
maturity and independence
Requirements:
4 years research experience or a PhD
